I spent a significant amount of time with David on Monday (cabinet guy). I brought in this fancy drawing for him to look at so he can see what we are working with here (his included measurements) The idea is to achieve a modern kitchen that my mom can order food from. Kidding:) she did make dinner last night. I picked out a few doors and drawer styles, and my boy David will be sending me some drawings today. I will post them.
Even though I am not really a big kitchen person here are a few kitchen's that I wouldn't mind eating in.........

I realize this is off the wall....but it is from the 1960's and I think it was way ahead of it's time if you ask me. Look at the lights in the center of the room. I would not be able to have drink in this kitchen with out eventually landing face first on this black and white floor can you say sensory overload?
