ZIG ZAG

This image has been floating around all over the place on a bunch of design sites.  I love this pattern but not the color scheme.  I have been working on a bathroom in the city So clearly with the help of my talented friend Cathy we made our own.  It's not quite finished in these photos but I will update with some new daylight photos soon for the finished product.

She was still working when I took the photos but you get the idea.  It worked out perfectly! Cathy you are amazing!

I think I have the perfect place to re-use this Zig Zag print in a different color scheme.

Hit The Deck Part II

The Deck is Awesome. Don't Believe Me? Ask Rosie.

Jo showed up with coffee this morning.......It only took her six months to figure out not to show up without it.

*Reminder the white door still needs to be painted once the deck and door is painted this little gem will look like it is part of the house.
I am currently at war with the "athletic" members of my family.  Apparently not only do they think that the basketball hoop (pictured above) not only is a good addition to the house but the fact that the guys painted it the color of the garage hurts my eyes.   I have posted this photo for you.. Mom, Kaylee, Kara, Jen (and maybe Dom and Nic) so that you can print it out and save it as a memento because the hoop is going.  Don't make me bring Jordyn in on this..............

Hit The Deck Part I

My dad and I had a vision.  Well the vision really started with me and big D took my idea and made it happen (and I guess improved on it as well!).  We wanted an enclosed deck off the side door.  The walls of the deck will be painted the same color of the exterior. This will give the illusion it's part of the house, not only will this small side deck be a cool modern addition to the new crib but it also serves as an outdoor mudd room/way to keep our little tiny dogs from running out the door.

What do you get when you mix pendant lights and a rash?

One unhappy camper.....................
My poor sister Jordyn has mono, unfortunately her mono has taken the form of a rash that is covering her face. Hope it clears up before prom Jor! Kidding!! but also kind of serious..anyway........ back to the pendant lights.

Four of these lovely mercury glass honey comb pendant lights will hang over the kitchen island.

The End Is Near............................

I thought the title for this post was fitting.  Not only because the house will be wrapped up next week but because today is supposed to be judgement day......Here is what has been going on over the past week hopefully it won't be wiped out by a radical act of god.

Back Splash: The Final Decision.  My dad found it so good work d

Check out the new kitchen light fixture..........Still in the box...... stand by for follow up shots of it hung.

Here is Jo and I admiring the New bathroom sink. We had to scrap the old pedestal because the door hit the sink every time you walked in the door.  Bummer
Maybe I did wear a short skirt that day. yikes

My sister Jen and Rosie doing what they do best.........Looking Cute.
Master Bath gets a shower door. I didn't want to break up the stripes with a shower curtain.

Here is my bookcase with it's new brass hardware.  I was going for a warm- up with all this grey. I think it gives the room a retro feel......Think Kelly Wearstler.

Shaping Up

We have been side tracked with other projects over the last month.  April was loooong.  But we are back on track over the next two weeks we will be tieing up loose ends and detail work.  Nobody loves a punch list more then me!!! But for today let's revel on the beauty that is the new counter tops........

 Bar/Desk
My parents have these awesome vintage stools (soon you will see how I decorate this house by recycling the furniture I let D&J keep, which is not much! Kidding kind of) See stools below.  I am going to have them recovered so they will be shorter and have a grey fabric on them not the black.
