Sponge Painted Kitchen Make Over Project...Part 1

Here is the progress on my most recent project.  We are only a few days from completion, I must say the odds of committing suicide in this kitchen have gone down considerably. I think it had something to do with the yellow sponge painted walls and the overwhelming amount of over sized oak furniture. Just a guess.

My Place.....

The question "what does your place look like?" comes up allot.  The truth is my place is filled with stuff I have collected over the years which basically consists of nothing special. I'm NEVER home!! So I decided last week that I would give my focal wall a face lift. I have never attempted this before (for good reason) here is the result.

What are the chances Jen would be over and not get into a photo?

This table is a mess ignor....

Rosie does not like big projects so she spent most of her time in the tub.

First Aid

I have a love hate relationship with Ikea.  I love the price and high end style that they offer, but I hate  the DIY assembly aspect.   We picked up the GODMORGON wall cabinet for the girls bathroom and Nees bathroom to help with the lack of bathroom closet space.  I thought it would be a nice touch to add the Red Cross symbol to each one (I had produced in vinyl). The end result...
Ikea GODMORGON available here.

I thought it would be cute to make the girls hot pink instead of red.
